How to Request Desktop App for RightFax
Please follow instructions below if you are faxing documents from Clinical applications using Print to RightFax functionality.
- Navigate to ServiceNow - Desktop Software - Install, Transfer, Remove form:

- Enter Your Details:
- Enter the Request Type as “Order and Install Software” and your workstation name:
- Select “No” as shown in the image:
- Select "Yes" to acknowledge the statement
- Enter “ OpenText_RightFaxX64_20.2.3.4244_VPP_P0 “ for the Software Title and enter Business Justification as shown in the image:
- Enter the details for your respective department.
In Additional Information field, please add the following text:
IMPORTANT: This is a package upgrade! Please make sure to REMOVE the hostname (device name) from the following deployment groups in AD first.
- OpenText_RightFax_10.6.3.4070_1064VPP (DMS)
- OpenText_RightFax-spapprfax001_10.0.0.3095_1064VPP (DMS)
- OpenText_RightFax-srvrfax01_10.0.0.3095_1064VPP (DMS)
Then and only then ADD the hostname to the new package’s deployment group:
OpenText_RightFaxX64_20.2.3.4244_VPP_P0(D)
- Click on “Order Now” on top of the page to submit the request.
- You will receive an email confirmation for your submission.
- Once the request has been approved, completed and closed, It might take 2-3 hours for the software to be available.
Note: A reboot may be required after this period to complete the installation. Your machine must be connected to the health authority network (VPN or on the domain) for the installation to be successful.
If the requested software is not available (after 3 hours of approval and rebooting) you may contact the Service Desk.
